St. Louis Bread Co.

Staff were really nice when they took our order, didn't bring food to the table though we got a number thing to place on table... That was after we had to go through the entire restaurant to find a clean table, there were none, we found the least dirty and cleaned it ourselves. Manager even walked through and left plates and trash on the tables, wasn't until we were almost done eating anyone came out and started wiping down tables and seats with one rag and no spray bottle or bucket and cleaning the dishes off. By the time we left the part we were seated in had clean tables, but some of the tables needed a sweeping or vacuuming under them. This was all before the lunch rush. Strawberry poppyseed salad was good!

BreadCo is a mainstay in the area, and the food was up to the usual level and did not disappoint. The Cuban sandwich isn't quite authentic, but a relatively good take on the original. This particular location has some pretty worn seats that are well past the date when they should have been replaced, specifically in some of the booths in the back seating area. Very polite cashier who actually knows how to give change properly, i.e. not piling the coins on top of the paper in your hand. A rarity these days.

I just left after having lunch at this location. I ordered directly to our table and Annie was exceptional. She came over almost immediately to say that they were out of sauce and to see what I’d like to substitute it for. She returned multiple times to make sure everything was correct and that we were doing well. During our visit another patron was behaving poorly and Annie handled the situation with grace and pose. She’s a true asset to this restaurant.
