We've eaten here since they opened. It has been one of our favorites. Today i noticed the quality was down. The tortillas werent the same, and the guac and cilantro were kinda rotten. The chips were not very crispy, and the corn dip was delicous but luke warm?
BUT the salad was huge and, and the lettuce and pico were very fresh! The tortilla strips on top were even better than usual! Yum!
So, well try again, but hope things are better. Bring back the old recipe for the tortillas please, Cafe Rio.
Also, let the ladies who work for you know that friendliness makes the food taste even better! (The older lady is a super great asset! Keep her!)
Thanks!
seems like the quality of food services has sadly gone down. the lime and cilantro rice barely tasting like anything also half the time being hard rice. not removing the stems off the cilantro is honestly rude and some of those drive through workers are always messing up my orders:( the sweet pork is probably the best meat I've ever eaten tho
Tried to order by phone for a take out order while I was driving; don't do it! The call center is somewhere outside of the state. My pick up was going to be at the Grand Avenue location as I stated. The operator asked, "Billings?" and then asked, "is that in Montana?" I placed the order and then was informed that payment via credit card was required and I could not wait and pay at Cafe Rio. I was at the location, by the time I canceled the phone order and just walked in the door at the Grand Avenue location.
I also noticed when paying that the credit card reader asked how much I wanted to tip, 10,15, 20%?
First, it's fast food and if fast food places paid a living wage, no tips would be required. The company is passing the cost of labor on to the customer this way.
Two burritos for $28.16 is not a bargain. The food is good, but I can make burritos that are just as good at home.
