Los Jalapenos

I very rarely write reviews but this place stands out for me as one of the most flavorful authentic Mexican restaurants I have ever been.

I always try to get enchiladas everywhere I go as I love to compare. And am on some what of a quest for the best flavored red enchilada sauce.

This place may be it. The enchilada sauce was incredibly rich and full of flavor. I didn't know it could be this good!

My 5 year old got the rolled deep fried tacos filled with beef. These were also unexpectedly the best I've ever had. I expected them to be dry and blah (as I find them to be everywhere else) but I didn't even want to dip them in salsa the flavor and fresh crispy crunch was so good.

My husband asked for a Chile relleno in a burrito. Wherever he goes he often asks for this. It wasn't on the menu but they made it and wow it was good too!

Last but not least. Their homemade green sauce/salsa was to die for.

I really appreciated that nothing was overly oily, and the flavors were so fresh and rich with a depth I'm not sure I have ever experienced before.

The authentic family decor and mementos were lovely and everything was so clean.

We will definitely be making this place a regular stop on our travels.

We were traveling on I-80 on our way to Denver and stopped for lunch. Wow! Fantastic food. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious - and we all agreed the guacamole was the BEST we’d had anywhere. The table conversation was all about the amazing food and how lucky we felt to have found this place. The people were welcoming and service was quick. We are buying green salsa to take with us and are now planning to stop here for a meal on our return trip.

I stopped here at the end of the night after a long drive and these tacos hit the spot. The guac was soupy and not "traditional", but it was still really good in its own way. Thank you for being so helpful even though you were close to closing!

Very easy to get to from the highway, lots of parking, and super affordable.

Tacos are bomb diggity. Absolutely delicious! Freshly prepared authentic Mexican dishes and generous portions. Friendly & kind proprietors made us feel at home. A true gem.

Really good service and friendly staff food was great more pricey than other places. has to be the best or one of the best mexican foods around town definitely will go back again to try out more of their menu
