“Melt is an amazing dining experience. The food quality is excellent and the atmosphere is beautiful! The service is professional and personal. I most recently got to enjoy the four course fondue for dinner, and every part of the meal was incredible. It is such a fun experience to choose your cheese fondue, cook your meat at the table, and top it off with chocolate fondue at the end! I have also eaten lunch here and it was great! For $15 you can get a fresh, homemade salad (or soup) and sandwich. You can’t get fast food for this price anymore! It’s a great place to meet a friend or have a nice lunch on your break. They also offer the prettiest lounge & bar if you just want to grab a drink. And the cocktails are great! I enjoyed reading the menu, as each dish and drink has been carefully named and chosen. If you live anywhere close, you should give it a try- there isn’t another place like this!”

“Visiting nearby in ONeil. Saw this place and decided to give it a try. Wow, so glad we did. Food was awesome. I got the daily special it was bbq meatballs, so good! And my husband got the nachos, he really liked them. The staff was so friendly, they had many locals come in and it was obvious it was like home! 100% recommend, definitely would go again. Dan the owner was talking to us, found out my husband was a veteran and gave us a discount on the bill. Very nice. Very affordable. Enjoy!”

It's in a gas station, so the atmosphere isn't great, but it's not bad either. There's space to sit and eat. Service at that gas station is always good.”

“Alley Cats Bowling opened in early 2024 and is a much-needed addition to Red Cloud's restaurant scene. Don and Tammy renovated the old bowling alley into a mod, 1960s-era joint with colorful retro furnishings and a super fun vibe. Six lanes of bowling are available for you to knock down the pins. They expanded the dining room to offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the food is really quite delicious (numerous people recommended the Reuben, and I second that). It's a family business with their daughters and son-in-law all stepping up to give you a great experience. During the Willa Cather Spring Conference (June 2024), my friends and I ate there three times, and every time the service was friendly and efficient, the food yummy, and the atmosphere a delight. They treated us like family. I look forward to returning next year!”
