GREAT PLACE YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG WITH IT
The service was really slow and the atmosphere was unsettling with the loud noises. There were no other customers inside when we walked in and ordered six Blizzards and a small bowl of ice cream, though there was a line at the drive-through. We were given the bowl of ice cream after a couple minutes, but no spoon. For some reason, the spoons at DQ must be guarded at all times and protected behind the counter. It took two minutes before we were acknowledged and could ask for a spoon. After that it was another three minutes before we were handed the spoon.
It was around the eight minute mark before we saw our first Blizzard. During that time another customer walked in, stood at the counter, waited to be acknowledged for two minutes, then left in disgust. *There were three workers behind the counter that we could see.
On a positive note, our order was complete and accurate.
This has got to be one of the busiest Dairy Queen's in Omaha. After all, what's better than a classic American iconic Ice cream cone or DQ Blizzard?
Personally, while I love chocolate chip ice cream, I find that a chocolate chip blizzard is not that great bc they use the same candy shell as the "chocolate chips" as they use to dip those cones and get that hard chocolate shell. End result is that it over melts the ice cream and leaves you with not enough ice cream to go with those "chocolate chips" ...
nom nom ... I find that an Oreo Blizzard is a great compromise for anyone looking for that chocolate chip and vanilla ice cream taste...
Staff at this location is usually great ... but occasionally you will get the teenager that fails to comprehend the "service" part of "service industry."
Gotta Love DQ! :-)
Best DQ around. Worked there forever
