Hospitable staff, great ribeye and strip steaks. Salad with house dressing and spinach dip with toasted bread was good also. Like the nostalgic setting and feel. Prices were moderate. Definitely worth visiting when in Omaha.

The ambiance of this place is legendary! It's like going back in time to when dining out was an experience and enjoyable in all facets. The food was exceptionally great, the Diamond Jim cut pictured was huge! This is the place to go for a great cooked piece of beef in Omaha!

Cozy, historic, exeptional food, prompt & friendly service. Plenty of parking. Coat room. Part rooms. My shrimp and rib eye had great flavor and was cooked medium, perfectly. The prime rib was even better. Salad, bread/spread, spinach dip and dessert complimented outstandingly well. The atmosphere and decor evoke laid back enjoyment. We sat in the half circle booths. Very spacious and comfortable. We found the price to be very reasonable for the quality. Very well done!! This a must for Omaha Steakhouse. We'll be back!

The absolute coolest place. Please don't ever change a thing about your decor!
Had a mid week lunch that was very tasty.
I'm from out of town, so I started nosing around to see the rest of the place. One lady was nice enough to give me an impromptu tour. Loved it.

On this, my first visit to Omaha, I asked two policemen for a recommendation of a steakhouse, and they both said "Johnny's Cafe". It's a big restaurant, and I was seated right away. Service was excellent (even during the BRK meeting). The people are so friendly in Omaha. I ordered the house salad, a T-bone steak, and a baked potato with butter. They also provided warm dinner rolls. The greens were fresh and crispy. I described how I wanted the steak grilled, and it was perfect. It was so tender (and big). I recommend Johnny's Cafe without hesitation.
