Nick’s is a gem in the rough. Although surrounded by other top choices downtown this eatery is one you should add to your must try at least once. The table side Prime Rib cutting is off the chart. The Yorkshire Pudding is an acquired taste with a twice bake potato. The Chef, and Oats (wait staff) were knowledgeable and super professional. The food experience was very rewarding.
We went there before the Journey concert and they opened specifically for the concert with a special menu. The wife had the meatballs and I had the beet & goat cheese salad and both were delicious in their own way. For the main entree she had the broasted chicken and she said it was perfectly crispy outside and juicy inside where she made the statement it was the BEST chicken she’s ever had. I had the pan seared trout and I have to admit it was an amazing filet with the skin seared to a perfect crisp as well which had me saying it was one of the best fish I’ve maybe had. The dessert was well done for the lemon tart and the cocktails well made with her trying the lemon daisy and I had the old fashion and side car, both with bourbon instead of the brandy. The environment was superb and intimate just like a supper club. We cannot wait to come back and bring someone to experience it with us.
Damm. Absolutely amazing. Prime rib omelette was just as hearty as it was tasty, and the syrup was actual maple syrup which shows they care for even the smaller details. Completely blew over my expectations.
Great restaurant located in the Hilton in downtown Omaha. I ate at the bar and the bartender was outstanding. Great atmosphere. Being from WI it was nice to see a modern spin on a Supper Club. So many items I wanted to try on the menu and ended up going with the salmon and couldn’t turn down trying sweet potato Creme Brûlée. Both were fantastic. Will definitely be back next time I am in town for business.
My mom and I took my 10mo old niece during March Madness and we had the BEST experience. We had the fish and chips and Jr. prime rib with a side of lobster Mac for the babe. Everything was delicious, we felt like VIPs and baby loved the lobster mac. Good luck to mom and dad. They even comped us a dessert with fresh fruit because they knew the babe would devour it. Oates was our server and he was amazing. Highly recommend.
