Spencer's for Steaks and Chops

I have always heard about the quality of Omaha meat and Spencer's did not disappoint. It's not cheap, but certainly not out of line for the quality of the food and the service. A good place to go for a "special" evening out without breaking the bank.

I had the filet and it was melt in your mouth fantastic!

This was for a business dinner. The service was great. The food was also great. I expected this. Spencer's is consistent with 801 Chop House, Fleming's, Mahogany and other high end steak houses.

Wish this could be better.

I have been here numerous times and by far they HAD the best IowaChop you could find. I stay at the hotel across the street, just to eat it. Today it was a $10 chop. Tasteless and you could tell it was cooked differently. Possibly chef change.
Lobster Bisque, wow this was a huge disappointment. ALL I TASTED WAS SALT.
Service, I have never left this restaurant feeling like I was treated well, something about the tone of their voice, even when they apologized it sounded sarcastic. I have been here at least 6 times. Maybe more. Hope this helps, try the Red Farm Pork Chop! Hopefully you get a good chef that day. It's to die for!

Really I had a better sirloin steak and fries for much and way better. My steak was like chewing shoe leather and the more you chewed the bigger the bite got. Not cooked to my liking either. The fries were ok but I prefer homemade not frozen. Bread and butter was really the only thing I enjoyed. Now it is time for desert. The desert turned out very good. I will not be back and do not recommend.

Reservations are typically in order. Great selection of steaks and chops. Priced on the upper end in the Omaha metro with a Rib Eye running $40 with no sides. Customer service is average but the vibe is cool throughout the restaurant and lounge. Best steaks in Omaha? Not even close but it’s a solid steak at an above average price.
