Taqueria El Alteño 2

I eat here once per week. I think they have some of the best tacos in Omaha but their fresh homemade chips and salsa which come free with every meal are the highlight for me. I am trying to convince them to add a hot queso option to attract more gringo customers like me!

I have done such an injustice going here as much as I do and not writing a review. Hands feet and napkins down, it's THE BEST tacos in Omaha 110%. And I am from Omaha born and raised 28 years old now. You won't be disappointed!

Tacos were just right. Got them with the hand made tortillas. Delicious.

Taqueria is an oasis of Mexican cuisine second to none. It's one of those hidden gems you find that you want to share with someone special as it's a place you enjoy so much by yourself. The staff and the chef are top shelf. They not only prepare the ultimate fresh and tasty meals but they make you feel like your there friend too.
I personally like to sit with the dish in front of me for a few minutes and just let the scents of the meal and the fresh vegetables tickle my taste buds. 😋

The sope was fantastic and while I've never had birria before & don't have anything to compare it to, I enjoyed it a lot!
The dining area is more spacious than looks possible from outside.
