Both waitresses we’ve had when coming here were nice and made us feel welcome. Food is fast to come out and is really good.
My friend had recommended this place to me, so we ate here for supper. I was very satisfied with the service - the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food was fresh and delicious, and best of all, the cost was reasonable. My soup/sandwich combo was under $10. Their French onion soup rivals the one at Panera's and I would gladly order it again. I can't wait to see what 4 ONE 8 Bar and Grill has to offer next time I visit.
In Nebraska you get used to seeing a lot of burgers on menus. Beef is, after all, "What's for dinner." As such, it's really hard to stand out based purely on menu content. 4 one 8 manages to do that and served me an excellent patty in a way that I had never experienced: A burger that uses two sourdough grilled cheese as the bun! This calorie fest was just what I needed after riding the Homestead trail from Lincoln. In addition to this great burger the ambiance was refreshingly and unexpectedly upscale for a smaller town like Beatrice. The staff was courteous and hard working and the owner was quite gregarious. At dinner time this was a very family friendly place. There was a family birthday party for a 6 yo who had chosen 4 one 8 as the venue she wanted to go to. I would love to be able to give partial stars because really this should be 4.5 stars with a half star taken off for a pretty mediocre Old Fashioned I was served. The owner took the criticism with a smile though and I will definitely be back again.
This place is hands down one of the best restaurants in town, the food is always amazing. The staff is always prompt professional and friendly.
Had the German Burger. It is a staple place to go in town. People all know one another and are super welcoming. Food is great both in value and taste. and if you walk out of here hungry, I won't feel sorry for you because the portions are pretty big. :)
