DISH Restaurant

Picked up a family meal last night of red wine glazed short ribs, kale salad, risotto, focaccia bread and a (GF) peanut butter/chocolate chip cookie. The huge chunk of short ribs melted in my mouth because it was exquisitely prepared! Every little detail provided something of great value, such as the thyme oil (antiviral!) and more. Even the moist cookie, ideally flavored, was beyond what this cookie-lover has achieved on her own! The only place I have experienced such a perfectly cooked piece of meat this size was in a 4-star restaurant in Montreal. We are fortunate in Lincoln, to have a gem like the Dish restaurant!

I’m glad I tried it once! I took my boyfriend for a birthday dinner. The atmosphere was nice and the one entree I’d give a 4/5 to, but the other only a 2/5.

Given the larger price tag associated with DISH, I expect more. I should either be blown away by the food or at least be really full at the end of a $150 meal. However, I wasn’t blown away by the flavors and I was still hungry. It was definitely fun to try out once, but I do not think it’s worth the heftier price tag.

Dish is the best restaurant in Lincoln in my opinion. I appreciate that they have a seasonal menu that changes based on the availability of fresh ingredients--something I'm not aware of any other restaurant in town doing. Well worth a visit and worth every penny. They also have excellent cocktails.

One of the good places I had dinner at in Nebraska. The service was great and the food too. They have a changing menu according to the season and always have fresh supply.
