Lovely place that one might miss if you are not careful. If you are in the area for any reason, stay here over any other commercial options. I will be back.
We stayed there last weekend for my dear auntie’s funeral💔. We had a cousin dinner of about 20 of us. The food and drinks were great. The room we stayed in was cozy. The staff and owners were very accommodating. Don’t miss out on this gem.
14 of us "took a drive" to find the best food of small towns And We Found It! The Food at the Wilber Hotel was excellent! It is run by an educated and seasoned (pun intended) Chief! My mushroom & broccoli risotto was creamy and delicious. My steak was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. I asked about how the chef made the Czech dumplings and he came out of the kitchen and shared how he boiled down the potatoes himself! I could have had just the salad bar with it's spinach and raspberries, cheeses and veggies, but I didn't want to miss out on the prepared to order fine dining. Even my friends burger looked fat and delicious. I most certainly will return as I still must try the Ruben, their ever changing Sunday brunch & then one of the official Czech meals.
The hotel has so much old school charm. It's like being able to spend the night in a museum. Yes, it's dated but I still love it. The rooms were decorated by families from Wilbur. So each room is distincttly different and unique. I don't think there's anywhere else like it. It was clean and quiet and the atmosphere felt like they already knew us when we arrived.
Fantastic! They have done a great job getting the old hotel back in action.
Took the family for a nice Friday night dinner.
The food was excellent and the service was great! The kids liked seeing the old hotel and looking at some of the old items they have on display
