Had a great Valentine’s Day experience here! Food was great and the waiter made sound suggestions.Its a five stars for me!

I know Amy the owner quite well and how hard she works everyday to maintain the best quality food, customer service and environment for her patrons, employees and the community. The food is always outstanding, and comforting, and I'm so glad she has stayed open for carry-out during this time of isolation. The Wicked Hen is a staple in this community and a must-try for out of towners!

Oh WOW! What a find. Visiting relatives in Gretna and Harlan IA, so was along for the ride as they tried a new place. The recommendation was not a lie ???? breakfast options were plentiful, portions terrific, and of course the results outstanding! I'd recommend the cinnamon roll breakfast sandwich...but my relatives didn't share any! But all was good ????????

Cute place. Great owner. Went in to try the Hadley's Hashstacker as I had heard great things and unfortunately they were out of sausage gravy and in the process of making more. I could tell this wasn't the norm and the sweet waitress assured me any other day they have it. I got the sense something had happened that week that may have disrupted things. I paid for my coffee and told them no worries I'll try again a different day. The owner Amy came out from the kitchen and apologized while giving me a card to come back and try it on her. So nice of her and totally not needed nor expected. Wholesome food. Wholesome people. Need more of it. Definitely will be back and hope you try it as well.

I loved it here! upon walking in, I could see that everything was clean and organized. when we got here, we were the only customers, so it was pretty quiet while we ate, until a few more customers came in.
the coffee was delicious, and the service was great! you could tell the waitress loved her job! she kept refreshing our coffee and checked up on us often. the food was VERY delicious and worth the fair price! it was filling and definitely food I will go back for!
