“I hosted a book signing event at the Chocolate Bar just days before Christmas (2023) and it went fantastic. Jen was so amazing to work with. She was available for planning and willing to adjust to my needs. The room was set up just as I had requested. The event was a huge success, and the room was packed...the staff was so warm to all of the attendants! After it was over, I enjoyed a delicious meal from their menu in the dining area, where I received incredible customer service. Great Job, Chocolate Bar!”

“I decided to give this place a try today and was amazed at how spacious it was. I did like the fridges with all the different choices of drinks. Most of them are under $2 dollars. A warning to those who don’t like or usually see eels or frogs, or perhaps seeing them alive, I was freaked out seeing them moving around in the back section. I did like the wide variety of Korean, Chinese, Japanese (they have the softest cheese cake there for $7.99), and Vietnamese foods. There wasn’t a lot in stock, but enough where it took me more than an hour to go through the store and get what I wanted. I am excited for their hot pot kit they will sell, and I loved that there was already a spot for cut meats for BBQ and your own hot pots! I am mostly interested in the sushi bar and the bubble tea place inside. Also note, the cashier told me that some of their items and produce arrive on Wednesdays.”

“My husband and I were impressed by the kindness and care of the owner. We didn't realize they were closed and she saw us trying to come in and popped her head out to say sorry she was closed. She offered to make us something anyways on the house. She was so kind and easy to talk to. She made my husband a quick coffee and gave me some water. We were wiped out after helping with a wedding and it felt like such a relief to be cared for and seen. She was thoughtful and took time for us outside of normal business hours. That says a lot about the character of those who own and run New Day Coffee, and that is something worth supporting. Also asked for a milk with my meal and didn't receive that either. 🙃 Flavors were fine..... Visit number 2 and I'm sorry but the food is just not very good . Grabbed an omelet this time and the vegetables were all but raw and it had some gross cheese sauce and the potatoes had a weird seasoning. Service was phenomenal 👏”

“When you're on a business trip, and in a hurry - you forget the most important part when trying to be a Google review expert, I didn't even capture one photo of my food or drink! (LOL - expert!) Thanks to my 30 glorious followers. I ordered the club wrap (no tomatoes - stupid food allergies) but man was it tasty!! The wrap was multi-colored and I'm not sure what was in it, but the food was delicious (despite having a mild reaction - the risk I take when eating out). The drink I got was a small sugar free blended carmel coffee. It tasted just as good as a coffee shop and surprisingly sweet for "sugar free" - again I run the risk when trying new things. Ultimately, I will go back if I'm in McCook again and would 100% recommend to stop by this little Cafe if you're in the area or passing through.”

“I am in town visiting and wanted a treat for breakfast considering scooters is one of my favorites. The coffee was good. However, the breakfast burrito normally comes in its wrap and with a picante sauce pack. Instead they gave me a burrito with no picante sauce packet or covering. Not to mention there were 3 employees and one of them sat on the counter (unsanitary) and played on his phone in plain sight while the other two were working. Also wasn't offered my receipt at all. 🤔”
