Hubby and I absolutely love eating here on Sunday morning. Adam makes the best Eggs Benedict and even surprises us with new items we haven’t tried. I recommend this little joint to everyone when they are in town.
I hate giving bad reviews but I have to on this one. Our waitress abruptly left the table three times. Not sure what was going on. Maybe there was truly an issue that needed attention. However it took a long time to order our meal. Once we ordered the service was fine. The food was very good.
Was in from out of town. The food took a looong time and even then someone in our party was still waiting for her PANCAKES which the server highly recommended and said would be worth the wait. She finally brings them over when the rest of us are about done with our meal and informed us that the chef had made the wrong pancakes and we had been waiting for the do- over. Even two batches of pancakes don't take that long. And she couldn't even eat them because they were mostly RAW! 4 out of 5 plates were fine. My black and blue chicken sandwich was very flavorful although modest in size, as were the two black and blue burgers. There was no apology for the pancakes, only an excuse. They didn't offer to comp her meal, but agreed to when asked.
Great old time food! The biscuits and gravy could sustain a platoon for a week. The BLT on Sourdough had plenty of bacon and lots of mayo, delicious. Staff was friendly and there was a welcoming sncse to the whole place. We went out of our way from Mammoth to Reno to stop and enjoy.
The cracker box is one of my favorite breakfast or lunch places in Carson City. it's one of those places that I kind of hate to give a great review on because it's already crowded enough. The food is always delicious. there is a great menu but I just look at the special board and pick something off of it. I love how the food is prepared right out in the open. The wait staff is attentive and wonderful.
