The Red Hut Cafe & Soda Fountain

What a nice surprise! This little gem is hidden in a strip mall in Carson City and though it’s visually nothing special the food and service are definitely worth the visit! I had the turkey Ortega sandwich and it was wonderful! If you are looking for breakfast or lunch stop on in!

Love this place for breakfast, The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is this is a country style restaurant and they don't have a proper country fried steak breakfast on the menu. They have a option with something like a hamburger patty and eggs but I love a good chicken fried steak and eggs breakfast so I sadly have to go elsewhere most days. When I am feeling bacon and eggs this is my favorite place to go

This place is great! What a small town feel in a diner full of Friendly faces and the food made just like Mom made it. Loved this place. Don't forget about the riddle of the day.

I'm giving it four stars, since 3.5 is not an option. The atmosphere is the typical diner vibe. They want you in fast and out fast. With it being my first visit, I had a hard time contemplating what to order. Your have a choice of your basic breakfast options, or your basic lunch options. The place is clean and the staff are friendly. -Regina

Been going to red hot since I was a kid up in Tahoe. The service was great, and breakfast was excellent. If you're not sure what to get, try the loaded up red hut rosti with an egg on top. I get it every time I get breakfast there, and it's never let me down!
