Well where should I start, home made pasta and awesome modern resurants with a cool downtown Las Vegas vibe. Great wine and liquor selection, but not many beers if your into that nonsense. As always, great to support local Las Vegas spots with the harsh cuthroat corporate competition in the area. Keep up the good work Esther's kitchen, we will be back.
I don't live in Vegas, but am in town often enough to make it a point to have a meal at Esther's, be at dinner or brunch every time I visit.
First of all, the food is simply phenomenal, especially more so considering the price and service. In fact, there have been trips when I've been there for dinner and come back for brunch the next day.
Service is always awesome, but this last visit was exceptional. From bartenders Dave and Brian to GM Kristina and Chef Stephen and the hostess working the busy door, this was one of my most memorable dining experiences I've had in some time in Vegas!
5 star food, but service is hit and miss. The pasta is handmade and fantastic and overall the quality of the food is so good for the price and portions are generous. It's a great spot for business or fun but wouldn't recommend for groups over 8.
We've had a few great servers and have also had visits where we've sat for over 15 minutes without any service or drinks and no follow up or refills after meals arrive. Even with the spotty service, I'd recommend for the food.
~created in house just like grandma's~
portions are generous & prices are reasonable
Zak is a treasure! we dined for lunch on Wednesday & reservations allowed us immediate seating. based on excellent reviews we ordered the bread starter & cauliflower starter. both were quite tasty. I ordered the pizza with marinated figs ???? wishing you much success in your artsy Vegas neighborhood.
The food was good. The customer service could have been better or the very least more flexible with wanting to accommodate request to do a smaller plate of pancakes, adding cheese to eggs, being able to have both juices with the mimosas. The waiter stated the chef doesn't alter his plates and there was no option presented were we as diners could have a happy medium. Those little things really made a difference with the experience especially compared to other brunch spots around town.
