Easily the best bar I've been to in Vegas. The back bar spread is impressive but stops short of being intimidating, there's plenty of choice but it's also diverse in expression and style within categories. That's a hard enough feat to accomplish.

Then the cocktail menu is entirely classics, ordered by era, ingredients shown and a little fact about each drink presented. Again diversity without being overwhelming seems to be the ethos, from stirred down and brown to gin based and citric to tiki classics and more it's a well thought out list that tactfully ignores a lot of the drinks people know by name and will order regardless of menu contents because if you want a classic daiquiri they'll make a world changing classic daiquiri for you but they needn't put it on the menu.

Food wise I had less room to explore but I picked two very different dishes. The steak tartar was visually appealing and tasted divine, I don't want to give the wrong impression, the tartar was great.

Then I tried the pan seared salmon. I fell in love with the chef pretty much from first bite . The bed of spinach and tomato garlic coulis were beyond reproach but that hunk of perfectly cooked fish was on a whole other level.

I haven't even got to the warm welcome I received on entry, the top quality and timely service from the bar staff and the expediency with which my food appeared.

The only place they lost points was the veggie/vegan options being very limited. Can't expect too much more from a steak house but I'd be dishonest to not mention the one place they fall down.

Overall definitely a recommendation from me.

Between 5-8pm and 12-3am they have half price all steaks and various apps. The two apps that were half off were spicy muscles and little neck clams, both of which were just amazing. Couldn't stop dipping my bread in the spicy muscles sauce. The ribeye was done just the way I asked and the creamy corn and Mac&cheese was spot on. If you not much of a meat eater or don't have someone to share the steak with, I recommend going to the bar and just ordering the muscles and clams and dip the bread in the sauce. Also make reservations early as they fill up and it is hard to do walk-in, unless you just getting apps and drinks at the bar.

I absolutely love Herbs and Rye. I grew up in the Midwest eating tons of steak and I have to say that this place does it right. The happy hour deal is great for the quality of steak but the cocktails are where they make their money back because they’re so good and I feel like I order at least two if not three while we eat. I will always try and eat here when I’m in town!

Stopped in for the drinks and wasn't disappointed. Very eclectic cocktail menu themed throughout different historical eras. Told the waiter our drink preferences and he steered yes in the perfect direction. Will definitely be coming back and trying the food next time.
