Lee Canyon

It's not Tahoe, but once you get over that ,you'll have a wonderful time. Lee Canyon is SO convenient and close to "the strip". The drive is easy and beautiful. I really like this small resort feel over any large overcrowded resort .

They recently renovated the entire resort and so your ticket goes a long way here!!

The new build out is modern , clean, and beautiful. I was so impressed seeing the before and after . The restaurant, bar and restrooms look great!!

The snow here is not always powdery but I believe they make their own snow. On a sunny bluebird day it's so amazing to be out on the mountain here.

You can finish your long day like we did, with a treat at In and Out a short drive away after you get down from the mountain :)

Our first ever as a family of five to Lee Canyon January 1-5 2022. For first timers this location, set-up and staff suited as well. First timers to see, play, ski and snowboard. Not to pricey since it’s in Nevada and not Colorado.
We learned a lot. Our second day at Lee Canyon was better than the first since the locals returned back to class/school therefore we had the easy slope all to our selves. The skiing boots are heavier and tighter fit than snowboard boots. There are no ramps once you get all your gear on, so climbing up step to start skiing is a mission. There are only two places to eat. I’m glad we packed snacks, water and lunch. Lee Canyon didn’t have a no outside food policy- thankful for that. There were section before entering Lee Canyon ski area to sled, make snow angles, have a snow ball fight that was neat to see. The people and culture of skiers and snowboarders are relaxed, fun spirited and lively. If you needed pointers and encouragement for us beginners there was plenty. We had a great time and now know how to seek other places to perfect our new outdoor hobby.

Absolutely beautiful and a hidden gem. Not a lot of people would think going to this area about this type of recreation or to come this way! We always spend a day or so here in between other things we do. It’s so peaceful!

Lee Canyon is a must visit when in Vegas.
