The Retreat on Charleston Peak

Very pleasantly surprised. We drove up Mt Charleston on a whim and decided to stop at The Retreat for lunch. There were four of us, and we were seated promptly. We ordered the Fried Green Beans as an appetizer, and for lunch we got Chicken Caesar wrap, Buffalo Chicken Wrap, a sandwich and Buffalo Wings. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. Food was fresh and very tasty, fries were hot and crisp, green beans were fried perfectly, and the buffalo sauce has a decent kick. Would no hesitate eating here again - and worth a day trip to Mt Charleston to see some beautiful sites, and breathtaking views. While on the trip make sure you grab lunch at the Retreat.

If you're a dog person this has got to be the most dog friendly place I've ever been. I went for a short get away from the Las Vegas heat and it didn't disappoint. I enjoyed the layout of the 3rd floor balcony room. It was nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy the view. The bed is comfy with lots of pillows and the bathroom was clean despite that it has not been updated recently, but that's part of the charm. I definitely recommend this hotel retreat getaway.

Haven’t stayed at the hotel but it looks quiet and comfy. We did however go to the restaurant and it was delicious. Great food and the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. They even gave us a free dessert. If you go, try the salmon!

Lovely SURPRISE up the Kyle Canyon corridor...Nifty bar where am Irish coffee was much appreciated mixed and served by lovely bat tender, John. Beautiful interior of this lodge! Great restaurant with lovely staffers. A real surprise and? A REAL delight!!!
