“This Maverick seems to be fairly new, very clean on the outside as well as inside, its location is extremely busy since it is in a great location just off the interstate not too far from Elko but it's a great place to stop and get a break from driving if you're coming in from Reno. Lots of drinks to choose from just a typical maverick. Gas prices here are cheaper than anywhere else in the state currently they are at 3:18 a gallon on May 31, 2021. Elsewhere in the state at 3:39.”

“My morning drive through Battle Mountain led me to the Owl Club. An early bird at a nocturnal place. Despite the confusion, I managed to get a private table past the casino. The waiter was so kind to serve me an unknown dish I saw on their online menu. The French Mountaineer was amazing! Three pieces of French toast stuffed with scrambled eggs and a sausage patty. The perfect breakfast combination. The side of syrup was an added bonus. An unforgettable meal. Hoping they open a gift shop in the near future.”

“Had the pulled pork sandwich and hubby had grilled chicken sandwich. Pulled pork was excellently smoked and chicken was cooked to perfection. The Cole slaw was fresh but I didn't care for the vinegar dressing. Service was friendly and prompt. Great place for a break from our road trip.”

“Interesting experience, especially for the location. On the pricey side for burgers but not so bad considering the dinner burgers came with both soup and salad. Mushroom jalapeno burger had fresh jalapenos with the seeds. Hotter than my wife expected. If you like hot this one is for you. Sweet potato fries were good. Garlic fries were good but for my taste I had to remove the garlic sauce to lower the flavor. If you love garlic give them a try. Hawaiian burger was good. Our only true complaint was the taste of the water. It made both the tea and lemonade taste very strange.”

“Stopped by here for lunch. Had the cheese curds for an appetizer and they were phenomenal! My husband ordered the blue cheese burger and he said it was fantastic. I ordered the T-bone and though I had ordered it medium rare, it came out well done. Still had good flavor. The waitress was nice. We ordered the chocolate pie for dessert and like the cheese curds, it was delicious.”
