Gus' Open Pit BBQ

Was at Gus’ and have spent a lot of time in the bar. I just want to say that the bartender Ali is the most entertaining, helpful, and cheerful bartender in Incline. She’s knowledgeable and hilarious. Excellent service. Sit at the bar for a good time.

Everything was great, food amazing beginning of the service great and fast....BUT the only bad experience we had was this: we were still eating out of one plate the other was empty and 1st bus girl came by and put a side dish from our table on top of the plate with food. I looked at her n said; we are not done, he took the empty plate n never even said "I'm sorry" Not even 2 minutes later a different bus boy came by and grabbed our plate n asked can I take this, at this point she touched the plate, he touched it too be4 asking...we told him, just take it...

Literally the best bbq I've ever had at a restaurant. Amazing food and service at a reasonable price. Great portion, I highly recommend it. I live two hours away and it's so good I am already planning to come back sometime this summer!

As I do my own smoking at home, I never go out to this type of restaurant because they never do it right. This night I just wanted to go out for a beer so we showed up here with low expectations for beer and a snack. Gus' is the exception to the rule. We had the sausages, pulled pork, and the ribs. It was all some of the best I have ever had! If a smokehouse in a grocery shopping center could get Michelin stars, Gus' would get 2. This is my new favorite restaurant.

A couple suggestions for the owners:
1. Have a live music night for local acts (not sure if there are any local acts, but it would be nice to have some live music.
2. Better draft beer selection. Also, are the beer glasses small? Maybe offer 2 glass sizes.
