Cafe De Thai

I dunno why this place isn't more packed..they are open later than most places in Midtown and it's the best authentic Thai food I've had since Guam. I'd definitely come back, and for everything I ordered plus a chang was only$30.

My kids want me to give their boba a 5 star review. We got into town late and this is one of the places open after 8pm for boba. They don’t have an elaborate selection but the boba was fresh and soft. They ordered caramelized boba with milk tea and it was top notch. **I saw the negative reviews about the soggy boba…but we like soft (not chewy boba) that isn’t sweetened artificially, this place does that and let’s the tea flavor the drink, not the boba. Just a different perspective.

The service was also excellent, our server was so nice and attentive. We dined in and had a full meal: coconut chicken soup (Tom ka gai), papaya salad with shrimp (som tum), Cornish game hen with sticky rice, rice noodles with beef (pad see ew) and their potato appetizers. Food was fresh and tasty. But lacked that Thai authenticity that I would’ve given the 5th star for. I know they are going for a fusion Thai. We will definitely be back.
Tip:parking is tough in that plaza
