Toucan Charlie's

I liked it overall, but there are a few things that kept me from leaving 5 stars. Good luck on a busy night (I attended during Hot August Nights). If the line extends along the wall outside the buffet, expect to wait a good hour. You have to wait in line to pay, then wait again to be seated. We got in line around 5:30 and were seated around 6:50. I have to say that the ladies up front (cashiers and hostesses) kept their cool and handled a lot of cranky, impatient customers profesionally. The food selection is okay...heavy focus on Mexican, Chinese/Mongolian & pho, carved meats, and southern foods. Desserts were somewhat disappointing...I grabbed a piece of strawberry cake that was dry because it had been sitting out too long. The Mongolian BBQ is fantastic, bring a few bucks to tip the chef.

My family of 10 enjoyed their dinner, the wait wasn't very long & the service was great! Don't forget to hit the game room for the kids. Best place to treat family from out of town.

There are two types of beef steaks and I love both of them. Pork steak right from the baby bbq pig and the crabs are fresh. American, Chinese, Mexican, and Vietnamese foods available. I also like the dessert section which has cotton candy and chocolate fountain available. Willing to come back next time I go to Reno.

Line was long and nothing to hang on to. (Have a dizziness problem). Booth seats are jammed next to the table. Not enough room. Everything LOOKS wonderful however I've had better seafood. Calamari was like rubber. Threw the crabcakes away. Cold crab was good but salty. I know it sounds like I'm picky....I'm not just honest!!! Cold shrimp was great on my salad. Wouldn't do seafood night again. Ruined my appetite trying different things. Tomorrow I'll have Italian....hope its as good as it used to be.

the food was awesome. The waiter was like a table ninja he would show up snatch the plates off the table and then disappear into the night. The buffet was awesome except for the Mexican part the Mexican food part of the buffet really sucked but other than that everything else was awesome. My hotel stay was great the room was beautiful, the bed was a king comfortable. Climate control work awesomely. This is a 4-star place 60 bucks a night
