My wife and I stopped in for a couple of drinks before dinner at another establishment and were so impressed with the bartender Justin we had to stop back in on our way back... highly recommended. Next time we are in Reno we are planning to dine here. The food smelled amazing. Justin is a dying breed... super attentive, quick with the drinks (while also attending to tables), and if you're looking for hand crafted cocktails this is the place for you. We will be back soon!”

“Very nice place to visit. Upon entering your are immediately assaulted with the deliciously overwhelming aroma of freshly popped popcorn and a brightly lit foyer. The floors were clean throughout the place with friendly attendants who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The movie theater seats were comfortable and the screen was easily seen by everyone. Despite the covid thing being a bit of a bother, this theater is open and ready to entertain anyone who should wish to visit. I will be going back again for sure. Smiles”

“Sometimes you just need some vegan junk food, especially after a long drive into Reno. (I also confess that I selected my hotel based on the location of Nom Eats.) The nachos ($12 with your choice of seitan or jackfruit) were fully loaded and requires the use of utensils if you want to at least pretend to be civil. The cashier told us the steak and fried avocado tacos were her favorites, and we decided on the later. One order of tacos comes with three for $10, but you can’t mix and match. However, the fried avocado tacos were amazing, so three of them was just right. They also have a couple of beers, hard seltzer, and pie slices from Sugar Pie. The flavors they had when we went were key lime, turtle, and apple crumble. If I lived in Reno, I’d definitely come back often.”

I enjoyed each dish, and definitely recommend tasting what they have to offer. Management will be around to check on you out of their genuine interest in knowing who things are for you. Please be patient. The staff is motivated, but there is not enough help to go around at the moment.”

“Amazing people, delicious food! Brand new place, new owner, new name, new menu. Monette is the owner and she is backed up by a great crew (mostly family). They take pride of selecting great products and making their food from scratch. And remember, they have homemade desserts. Make sure to try their PANCIT CANTON (thicker noodles) Also, I was very surprised with the balance of flavors in their papaya pickle. Combined with some tender chicken or pork belly, it is just delicious. Their philipino lemonade is unique! Made with philipino special little limes, it is just so refreshing and flavorful. I had the pleasure to try some of their desserts: flan, Maja blanca (milky, soft, slightly sweet, kinda like a cheese cake consistency), pastilla (little ball made with powder milk, sugar and purple yam), they also have a little cake, cheese flavored that reminds me of a Brazilian dessert (queijadinha). Their brownie (also homemade) is rich, soft and balanced - crunchy top, moist middle. Over all, Isla de Manila is a great restaurant. They just opened and are now trying their menu. Keep in mind, giving Covid-19, they are at 50% capacity. But don't let that stop you, they have plenty of tables and booths. They now offer dine in as well as take out.”
