“Stopped here during a daytime bar crawl the Friday after New Year's day when my friend and I came up to Reno for a few days. We initially stopped in just to use the bathrooms (forgive us!!!), but decided to actually stay for some drinks- which turned out to be a good decision, since the cocktails, Mint Juleps, that the bartender served us up were fantastic! We had already had lunch elsewhere, so we did have any food, but we are determined that next time we are in Reno that we will food in addition to drinks. Can't wait to be back!”

“Service was great. Bartender kept tabs (pun intended) on the customer's at the tables on a regular basis. Place is smaller than the one on S. McCarran. It is a smoking bar, so it's very smokey. If you smoke, great place. If you don't, but don't mind, okay. If you don't smoke, I don't recommend it for you. That's why only 4 stars.”

“Fat Cat is one of those unexpected awesome finds here in Reno. Located under another bar/restaurant, I feel like they get overlooked due to that and to a lot of construction around the building. Fat Cat is tucked away under Rue Bourbon but is one place you NEED to pop by if you haven't. I've been in once before and loved it! I had a friend who wanted to go to a happy hour and Fat Cat was perfect for that! I arrived first and the place was a ghost town minus a bartender and a patron. When my friend arrived, the bartender was quick with a suggestion for us drink wise. We both got the 'Frisky Kitty'. This drink is dangerously delicious! I had two during happy hour. As we settled in and started to peruse the menu, so many items sounded wonderful. I would easily go back to try more as the appetizers we tried were FABULOUS! My friend and I ended up with the highly recommended Mushroom Gorgonzola fries and the Buffalo Mac n Cheese balls. Both were very rich in flavor. After splitting the two, I felt like I had ordered a whole meal; you certainly get a lot of food! The place had a pristine feel to it. There isn't much clutter and this feels like the perfect place to get away from the usual happy hour crowds. Even during dinner service, it still wasn't packed. If you're looking for a place off the beaten path to try, definitely make a stop in to Fat Cat. Both times the waitress/bartender (Aggie?) was there in the afternoon/evening. She greets you with a kind smile and is very welcoming. Only downside of the stop was the music was just a little too loud. I love love LOVE Fat Cat and hope to be in again soon!”

“This review is for take out only. I've never been in the restaurant though I've heard nothing but positive things and plan to go, but this review can't wait any longer. A co-worker recommended we get lunch from here and we both ordered the chicken parmigiana and the rest is history because we've ordered several times since then! The chicken parmigiana is divine. The chicken is moist, the breading is perfect, and it's topped with melted Parmesan cheese. The accompanying grilled vegetables are cooked just right, not soggy or overcooked by any means. So so delicious! I plan to actually go into the restaurant and when I do, I'll update this review.”

“We had the spring rolls, Ginger Mushroom with Chicken and Panang Curry. The food was exceptional! The seasoning was spot on, the sauce for the spring rolls was delicious. “This is a strange, but fun place. The people that run it have wonderful energy, drinks service was fast, and their tacos may be the best in town. However, their food service it's slow, and their enchiladas may be the worst in town. Your two choices of sauce involve peanut butter (I don't know who ever thought putting this in an enchilada sauce was a good idea), or a tart tomatillo one. Stick to the tacos and you'll be fine.”

At $28 for 2 crepes and a latte, we found it a little pricey. But the breakfast special crepes we ordered were good, with fresh ingredients, and attractively served. I found the bacon, potato, and egg crepe a tad bland, but we were offered a good selection of sauces to spice things up. The crepes themselves had good texture and were very tasty. And the coffee was great - coming from a coffee hound, that's high praise!”

“I very much enjoy their sandwiches, and go when I can. My personal favorite is the lake shore on Dutch crunch bread. There are occasionally problems with the soda machine. Parking is generally good. Edit: I have decided to update my review from a 4 to a 5. The employees here are all hardworking and friendly, I try to eat here at least once a week and the food only gets better each time I go. Strong recommend.”
