“I won’t go so far as to say it’s as good as a legit NY pizza (and being born/raised in NY, I don’t think I’m allowed to), but the plain cheese pizza here is extremely good. A thin crunchy crust with a delicious plain mozzarella, and a good tomato sauce — can’t really ask for more. My parents live by here, and my mom and I share a “2 cheese pizza with one drink” special for $6.50. The slices are big enough that one piece is really plenty for lunch. So happy Rocco’s is close by! ????”

I've tried so many shops around town and most have left me wanting. Honestly, NY Style pies were never my favorite. I'm from Ohio were the crust is a bit thicker to hold a bit more sauce and cheese. This guy is true to the NY tradition and man does he do it right. His mouthwatering concoctions are great. I stopped in late one night after a late flight back into town. I had been meaning to stop in for awhile. I had a nice conversation with the owner as he made my pizza. He's a hard working guy who demonstrates passion for what he does. You will definitely taste it, too, when you have your first bite...and every bite thereafter. Put this place at the top of your list when you want pizza. You will be glad that you did.”

“Clean, very friendly employees when I walked in. Got the veggie 6in with extra cheese and coffee. Everything tasted amazing, usually I don’t do a lot of veggies but I decided to this time and it was a great choice because the combination of veggies was perfect. Coffee wasn’t burnt and the half and half was provided. Bathroom was very clean and smelled good as well and I am really big on bathrooms so that was very good. Would highly recommend! “Linos is a Rockford institution. The only places that have this style of pizza is southern Wisconsin, Rockford, and Chicago. You can’t get pizza like this anywhere else. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that pizza from Lino’s, Sam’s, Johns, and Capri is pretty much the best pizza in America. Rockford isn’t known for much, but I wish more people understood the Rock has the best pizza in the world. It’s better than NY and like I said only southern Wisconsin and Chicago can compare. NY pizza is good but honestly come here and see. It’s fantastic and Rockford is a pizza town.”
