Been driving past this place for a while and finally stopped. Some of the best bbq I've ever had. Owner is quirky, but food out of this world. Also, as a small biz owner, I pay special attention to negative reviews to see if they're warranted, and I find it interesting that his first four 1 star reviews all gave his competitor across the street 5 stars. Coincidence? I doubt it. My guess is this places negative reviews are fake or friends/family of the competitor. I've gotten ribs at the competitor and they are tasty and fall off the bone, but were a little fatty for my liking.

Ample seating. Worth the trip or the stop. All homemade. Ribs fall off the bone. Brisket falls off the fork. Great corn bread. Cole slaw is delicious, made with buttermilk and a touch of love.
You can even get it all to go.

I've eaten there many many times. Always great food! Scott knows good food and is very creative. Servings are generous and prices are great. You can feed a family without going broke. I've sent dozens there and they all agreed it was great!

I was up for bike week and had ridden by this joint last year. This year I was actually hungry when I rode by and so glad I was! Ordered the pulled pork sandwich with the hot sauce on the side as the chef recommended, potato salad, coleslaw and honey cornbread with a little bit of honey on top. Everything was excellent! You should definitely grab some food here if you are anywhere in the Lakes Region.
