Visiting from Massachusetts. Came here because it was across from our hotel. Loved it! Some of the best Thai food I’ve had.
I had a Thai tea. Excellent. Hubby and I shared the chicken pad Thai and the seafood soup. I would absolutely order it again. It was so good.
The restaurant was small, a little hole in the wall. But lots of people had take out and we didn’t wait to be seated. The server I believe was the owner on this night and he was so friendly. We will return!
A nice quiet place in the middle of a busy tourist area. For lunch we had the house special - my sister with duck, I with beef. The vegetable spring rolls tasted homemade, and the sweet Thai ice tea was made just right. The owner was very pleasant and served us fast. And I always pay attention to a restaurant's restroom facilities - this one is also partially used as a cleaning stock room as the place is tiny, but it has updated fixtures and is very clean. I sent the rest of my family to the Bangkok Cafe that day, and they also loved the duck - with drunken noodles which, they said, were delicious. We come to the North Conway area every year, and I'm surprised we didn't notice this small place before... we'll definitely be back!
Great place with great food. We had a bunch of dishes like salmon, pad Thai, and even some appetizers, but the main star was the duck. The sauces had amazing flavor even for picky eaters. Prices were great and the atmosphere is nice. They had great soft piano music playing in the back and not too overwhelming. A cozy place with not too many seats. Totally go here!
Drunken noodles, which was suggested in reviews I read, and Thai Iced Tea were very good. (Thai Iced Tea is very sweet, almost a dessert drink, so keep that in mind.) I was there with a meat eater and a vegetarian and both enjoyed their meals (Drunken Noodles with tofu and beef respectively). The vegetarian member of my party commented that the ratio of vegetables to tofu was good. Portions were pretty large. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Definitely one of the better restaurants in this area! If you do one thing in your trip to North Conway, it should be to treat yourself to this food. To give you a few examples, the sauce for Basil rolls tasted homemade. And the soup, so many different tastes! The owner of this place is the chef and this is clearly reflected on the level of taste with the dishes.
Truly, a place that is a must visit!
