“Took a day trip here today and was only mildly impressed. They shouldn’t call this place a “castle”. It doesn’t really resemble a castle and is much smaller than we were led to believe. The scenery was pretty, but could be seen other places for less of a price. We drove down the road to the “entrance” and was told to turn back around to go down a different street. This was fine, but it was like that 10 months ago. One trip was enough to see the scenery and castle but I would consider going back for the hiking trails.”

“The New Woodshed is becoming one of our new favorite restaurants in the area. The burrata is amazing, so much so that our young daughters consumed 80% of it themselves. We always receive a warm welcome upon arrival and we love the ambiance of the bar area. We were also beyond appreciative that the manager offered the restaurant shuttle to drive us back to the public dock after our meal. Great sunset boat ride home after a lovely night out. We'll be back for sure.”

“Great local place, "diner" feel. Friendly and helpful staff. Most stuff is made from scratch. I got the eggs Benedict and my boyfriend got an omelette and a waffle because he couldn't choose. “In general this place has provided great food with a fantastic view. Unfortunately poor experiences the past few times I've been there have soured me a bit and I've had to drop to four stars instead of five. While the service is excellent, sometimes there is an issue with the food especially if you have someone with an allergy at your table. On two separate occasions we've had to turn back food that contained nuts after specifying no nuts. It's unfortunate but I have to recommend you really check your food before eating if you have an allergy because there is no fast way down the mountain to a hospital.”
