“We have been to the Bretton Arms many times. While it remains one of our favorite destinations in New England, we have noticed that inconsequential cosmetic features, such as floors, trim, the entry, and bathroom cabinetry, could use a little sprucing up. On the other hand, the condition of the property lends New England authenticity and charm, which is not found in standard hotels. The hotel's beautiful location and remarkably solicitous staff more than make up for any modest imperfections. We will continue our visits with relish.”

“We really enjoyed our visit to Munroe's. My wife and I split a tuna melt platter. The fries were very good, and the tuna melt was a great mix of tuna, and just enough mayo to make it great. The restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere with a small town feel. They cater to us passersby doing their well best to make us feel like hometown regulars. I would recommend Munroe's to anyone who is remotely close to the area. You won't regret it.”

“We had a charity run that brought about 60 to 70 people to this establishment. They were very friendly and fast to get all of us in and out in a timely manner so we could get back on the road. The food was incredible and the portion sizes were large. Great job guys I will see you again!”

The menu wasn't very large, a little on the pricey side for it, I didn't think the food was anything special, but there isn't much else in the area and when you're hungry from hiking Mt Washington this is a good place to go. “Went for lunch (mid-pm) and it was great choice. Amazing view out on the patio and great food. Portions are huge, we shared 1 app and each had a meal and couldn't finish all the food. Service was great. Somewhat limited options, but I understand it's a lunch menu in a steakhouse.”

“Unique bar with intriguing history and a very cool, speakeasy atmosphere. It easily transports you back in time with the stone walls and cement bar. Drink prices are fairly high but well worth the experience to have a drink in this historical spot, and the bar tenders were attentive and made good cocktails and mixed drinks. Nice, trendy vibe with modern dance music playing, with a stage for live music and working billiards/shuffleboard game tables. Be warned, it is very cold in here as well. Definitely bring a light jacket, I regret not having done that myself. All in all a great bar to check out, but overall I will rate it four stars due to the very high prices for drinks and how cold it was in the room.”
