La Catrina Authentic Mexican Cuisine

Who would have thought the best Mexican I've had would be in Ashland? After growing up in Center Harbor I've moved to the Philly area and was recently able to spend 7 nights back there. We went to La Catrina for 3 of them. The incredibly kind staff and the food were both exceptional. I highly recommend the Chile en Nogada.

We dined here a couple months back. The food was amazing! It is clean inside and the ingredients were very fresh. Our waitress wasn't super friendly but she was quick and polite. Definitely looking forward to dining here again.

Food was pretty good but atmosphere could be better. TV blaring till I asked for it to be turned down. Service was good. Prices are ok to a bit high for traditional dishes but seem way high for house specialties. Drinks are high priced too, too high to have sampled for this review. For me, it's a been there done that kind of place.

I wish I could give La Catrina 7 stars!!! Our waitress Ray was amazing; she was so friendly. Definitely the friendliness waitress I’ve ever had. The food was so fresh and absolutely delicious! I will definitely be coming back!!!

A surprisingly good restaurant in a very small town. We loved the atmosphere, the decorations and the staff. We both had delicious meals (not you’re every day normal Mexican restaurant) and an awesome dessert. The guacamole made at the table side was a big hit with many of the diners and they all said it was really good (you get to decide what you want in it). We will definitely go back and bring others.
