Really cool place with solid beers. I stopped by after working a long day a long way from home. I chatted with the bartender who was a really nice guy with some cool arm art. Didn't catch his name but I was trying to figure out who he looks like. It hit me on the drive back to the hotel; Alan Ritchson, an actor known for the series Blue Mountain State. I hope I get the chance to come back and drink some more good beer and tell the bartender I figured out who he reminds me of!
We recently held a work event in one of Backyard’s function rooms. Not only was the food amazing, but so was the staff especially Josh. From the moment we walked in, he was super friendly, accommodating and had such a positive attitude that continued throughout the entire evening. Josh, thank you for helping make our event such a success!
Food was EXCELLENT. What really made it great was the awesome service from Brad! He was so funny and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed! From the NJ Marines!
My first visit here was on 2/15/19 when a friend treated me to lunch. Lots of beer choices. I opted for the lower alcohol content in "Snow Squall". Very good flavor. My meal selection was the "Fin of the Day" -- a fried haddock sandwich. It was perhaps the BEST fish sandwich I ever ate. Very fresh, tender, and flaky. A light coating on the fish really couldn't hold it together, so it was a little messy, but just as tasty when eaten with a fork! Served on a thick bun with lettuce, tomato, and just the right amount of tartar sauce. My friend ordered the bison burger, medium rare. A generous-sized burger, which she said tasted good, but it was definitely over-cooked. Hardly any pink. Both meals came with a large portion of seasoned fries which were also very good. Service was friendly and timely. The restaurant was about half full at noon on a Friday.
