“Great Hibachi when its great.. the sushi is hit and miss. There are times when the sushi/sashimi taste fresh and others when it taste old, sour and odorous. staff morale has decreased over the years and it shows. The hibachi chefs just want to finish the meal, clear down and leave. The wait staff is to busy and seemingly understaffed to properly attend to their tables. this is more likely a management issue. The staff seems miserable and unrewarded for how hard they have to work to meet the standards in such a busy restaurant. From what i see, the management hides behind the scenes lashing the whips and doesn't interact at all with their guests. all they seem to care about is filling the tables. what was once a happy, interactive and fun place for all manor of celebration, is now a warn out last minute idea for such.”

“Absolutely love everything about this place! I have been to New Orleans once and immediately fell in love. I have missed the place and happened to stumble upon Madear’s one morning and nearly cried after my first visit. The atmosphere was so inviting, the food was delicious and reminded me of eating and cooking with my Nona (so many stories were shared about family), and the drinks are top notch and different than your typical beer and wine. I highly recommend their gumbo, meatballs, crawfish Mac and cheese, gator (though I do wish this was a larger portion) bites, and heck so many other dishes! If you enjoy brunch then try their fried chicken and red velvet waffles, you will not be disappointed.”
