Pig Tale Restaurant

This is one of the coolest eclectic little spots I have found. We had the white cheese pizza, big enough for two, the wings and small salad with Granny Smith Apples drizzled with a vinaigrette. The pizza had just enough garlic and cheese on it so as not to overwhelm the crust; fired in the brick oven tucked away in the corner. The wings were a Memphis dry rub also done in the oven- OMG- they were great.

Had the pork belly and the grilled octopus, both of which were excellent dishes with beautifully cooked, tricky proteins. Tried my friend's amatriciana, which was also great. Nice little space and very friendly service. Live music was a surprising and welcome touch for a Monday, although it could have been turned down a click or two.

Had the pretzel burger. No complaints. Above average, but not knock-your-socks-off. Ambiance was great. Very cozy, wait staff was very cordial. Positive experience. I'd be interested in trying something else on their menu.

One of my favorites these days. The new team has taken the food and drink to a new level over the past year. Every the bar and dining room staff bring an energy and warmth that had been missing. Farm to table, an overused term these days, done the right way. Try the classics or the new items - they're all great.
