My husband and I went last night for the first time since this place opened and I have nothing but good to say about this place!! Service was excellent. We sat in the dining room. The atmosphere was cozy and clean. We ordered drinks, soups, appetizers, a pork sandwich and dessert.. the portions were big. Everything was delicious! My favorite was the Brussels sprouts appetizer. Definitely recommend and we will definitely be back!! Next time we will come earlier so we can stay a little longer and play some pool in the bar area. All of the guests there seemed to be having a great time and I’m not sure, (I should’ve asked) but I think it was the owner behind the bar was super friendly and welcoming on our way in and out.
We tried out Flanagans for the 1st time this week, the interior has been redone since it was the Buck, everything was clean and it had almost the same atmosphere as the Buck. The menu is fairly limited, my wife and I split a Caesar salad and it was excellent! My wife had a Chicken Sandwich and I had a cheesesteak sub. Everything was tasty and service was excellent. The only negative I had was the cheesesteak sub was very light on the steak. I gave it 4 stars because of the limited menu, I’m sure they will add on as word spreads how great a place this is.
I used to frequent this place when it was the Buck. The new owners are carrying on the tradition of great food with a friendly & unique atmosphere. Food is excellent, upscale, and priced accordingly for what you get. It's so nice these days to have a spot that isn't the standard cookie cutter bar that looks like it was built out of the Home Depot catalog. A must stop if you're heading down the shore!
You may recognize this place.. it’s the former Buck Tavern. Almost 100 years later, it is now “Flanagan‘s Bar and Grille”. If you are looking for a friendly atmosphere, this is the place to go. Food is fabulous from garlic parmesan wings to the salmon. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.
