As the owner told us, they use their own special order beef, and their recipes, equipment and cooking technique is unique and delicious. “Maynard's is the greatest dive bar in the history of dive bars, in the sense that its kind of too nice to be a dive bar. This place is, bang for your buck, probably the single best place in Margate, or at the very least, on the west/south side of Jerome Ave. A great place to kick back, have a few beers, and get some grub. Also a great place to get away from the snooty folk. Not to say people with big money don't go there - wealthy people definitely do go there, just not the rude and judgmental ones. If you're looking to have a drink after spending a few hours at the beach WITHOUT killing your wallet, THIS is your place.”
