Maywood Pancake House

Came here for breakfast on a Sunday and it was a mad house. I’m like it must be delicious. There was a line outside of the door. We put our names in for a table for two and waited about 20-25 minutes. Not bad considering the amount of people that were there. They did the best they could with the space and crowd that day. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, even with all of the tables she was covering. The food was great. My boyfriend ordered a skillet which normally comes out on a hot plate but it came on a regular plate. Everyone does things differently so that’s okay. I would definitely come back. My tip is to get there early so you can wait on a table but make sure when they call your name, everyone is there because I saw the hostess give away a 6 person table because not everyone was there. I felt bad for the lady because she was there a while, it wasn’t her fault her sister couldn’t find parking. But i also get that they need to keep servicing and clearing tables. :)

Cozy place with great food and service. Loved the Irish Benedict. Feels like a high end diner. Usually very crowded too. Very easy to fall in love with the simplicity of the whole place.

Ordered the Italian Panini and it was delicious! I was told their grilled cheese was also pretty incredible and when I asked the server if I should get the ham or the corned beef hash, she enthusiastically recommend the hash; so I ordered 2 to go. Get home to enjoy the sandwiches with the lady only to realize that neither sandwiches had any corned beef...just cheese. So, a 45 minute round trip drive and $25 later for plain grilled cheese sandwiches.
I’m sure they’re great; just not too impressed with their attention to detail is all.

This is one of the best pancake houses around Bergen county! Authenticity and small town feel. Staff is excellent and super friendly. Also vegan and gluten free options are amazing

Good food, great ambience, excellent service. I loved the pumpkin pancakes, but everything else looks sooo delicious. They have gluten free pancakes and pure maple syrup for a small additional charge. Be prepared for large portions and delicious breakfast foods. They also have burgers and sandwiches.
