“The food here was good, not great. Honestly, my biggest annoyance which made me reduce them a star is that they charge for fountain drink refills. I was shocked when I was told that. Maybe I’m crazy but that fact alone made me want to not go back. But, being honest the food is good, and it’s a cool local spot. I recommend drinking water :-)”

“From day one, this place has been what I've always been looking for in take-out: consistently fresh food. It's real meat, real everything else. I haven't tried anything here that I didn't like. Very clean inside. Nice people. Order online for 10% discount, and they often mail out coupon menus to locals. Only thing I wish they had was peanut sauce. Only one place by where Iused to live had that stuff so I don't fault them at all. Just took my daughter here and had a nice date. She calls it the Dumpling House.”

“We are huge BBQ fans, and our son-in-law told us this was the best BBQ he ever tasted. While we have had better, we enjoyed a very good meal at Local Smoke. I especially enjoyed the Brussels sprouts cooked sweet and sassy. The expected pulled pork, pulled chicken and assorted sides were all quite good. Our grandchildren dined happily on hot dogs, chicken fingers and mac n cheese from the children's menu. This is not fancy dining. You place your order at the counter, and food is brought to your table when ready. Sporting events were playing on a couple flat screens. Tables and chairs are sturdy, unadorned wood - very kid-friendly. The staff were friendly and attentive, prices reasonable and the parking lot is sufficient.”
