Zaffron Mediterranean Cuisine

Service was excellent, and the food was delicious. I had the lamb shank, and it fell right off the bone. The sauce was flavorful, and was the perfect compliment to the flavor of the lamb and rice. I'll definitely come back here when I come back to NJ.

Let me say there is nothing especially wrong with this restaurant tho we had one of the most personality-less servers I've experienced in a while; she was not too attentive either-- but nothing exceptional either.

Mediterranean cuisine, tasty dishes but nothing that in my mind makes it better than Estia or even Black Olive. Not much ambience.

Worth a try tho and if you get a more pleasant server--the owners were quite cordial--you might give it a 4th rating star.

Terrific hummus. I had the beef/lamb Lula. Was excellent. Wife had the orzo lemon soup, and loved it. Just what was needed on a chilly day.

Outstanding service & personal attention!!!! The food was delicious however the service made a TREMENDOUS impression. Hubby totally enjoyed dinner. Can't wait to go back ????

The food here knocked my socks off. The owner met us at the door and seated us, we were a little early in he evening, just before 6pm. The waitress suggested the hummus if the month as a pumpkin hummus, that is a chickpea hummus with pumpkin, a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg, but savory. I ordered it and it was the best hummus I have ever had. Then I had the Chilean Sea Bass and it was perfectly cooked and garnished with a roasted red pepper purée that was just scrumptious. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone who likes food enough to savor it.
