Amma's South Indian Cuisine

Had a very yummy lamb biryani, huge portion I had it for lunch and then my family had it for dinner for two nights after. Just be warned - mild = moderately spicy and i usually each spicy food often. If you have no tolerance, go for the non-spicy dishes.

So I tried this place out on a Wednesday for lunch. The inside is very small but I felt management was fine. They were at my table constantly making sure i had everything I needed and asking if the food was ok. I am big Butter Chicken fan so I had to try it. All I got was Butter Chicken, white rice, and some kind of delicious flaky bread. The Butter Chicken was yellow and did not look appetizing but it turned out to be delicious. Not the best I have ever had but not bad for an Indian Restaurant. I would come back again. The only issues I had were one, I didn't think the white rice portion with the Butter Chicken was large enough. Second, the price I felt was a little expensive for what I got. Usually at most Indian Restaurants, the lunch is cheaper, whether its dine-in or the buffet. All I got was water with my meal and it came out to almost $20. Third, this restaurant does not have a buffet, which I prefer, but I am happy to dine-in and thats fine. Overall, I would go back but I wish they would work on what I mentioned. Awesome South Indian food near Voorhees area. I live at echelon apartments in Voorhees and I go here often. South Indian food here is really good and feels more like home food. We ordered food on New year's Eve and they messed up the order, but we realized around 10.30pm and they were closed for the day. Though they were closed, they delivered the 1 missed item in 30 minutes after we called them. Food was yummy ????????????????
