When we called they said the delivery was about to go out. Really though. Did it take an hour to make a pizza? Then we got the food and it was cold.”

“Tavern on the Edge is an all around great establishment. I am still a little tipsy from last night so I am inclined to make this review. Typically you can see me crushing craft brews here because there is always a great selection. Last night was a different experience. When I was looking into places to throw my class reunion, I stopped as soon as I found Tavern. For a very reasonable fee, you can order the finest Mexican food in Gloucester City and hammer bud light, Margaritas and Sangria for a few hours. This was perfect. We had a great turnout and the staff was on top of their game. Everyone was knowledgeable, fun, and quick to respond to our needs. Throw a big event here, you won't be disappointed.”

I’ve been coming here for lunch a couple times a week during my break, and boy, I cannot even think where to begin on saying why it’s so great here. First off, they have so much variety when it comes to slices. My favorite one is the cheesesteak slice. Most days, I usually get a cheesesteak and western fries. They are out of this world! They also have great lunch specials that won’t break the bank. But the one thing that really sells this place to me is how nice the beautiful lunch time waitress is! She provides phenomenal service and really makes the place welcoming. For anyone in the area, I highly recommend you stop in for lunch and taste a piece of heaven!”

“Huge fan of their pizza, the only place that makes pizza like I remember as a kid. Perfect crispness to their crust and just enough oregano to make it taste like the pizza from the past. Excellent cheesesteaks and subs/hoagies. The staff is professional and friendly. I live about 40 minutes away but I would still travel just to eat their Pizza!!!! “Max's has a really good happy hour, with great food at really affordable prices, with quality drinks at a slight discount. I would think there'd be more people there, but there are other places that really compete for the happy hour crowd, and I don't get that feeling here. It's a much more relaxed crowd that comes in, and not so much a group you kids looking to prime their pumps before they go somewhere else to keep their drinking going. Great and friendly bartender there, too, who also doubled as our server. Good job, John!”
