Beach Shack

This is a lovely relaxed beach hotel right on the beach with comfortable, modern rooms, plenty of parking, and a nice big pool. My favorite part is you can stroll onto the beach and the staff will set up lounge chairs and umbrellas for you at no cost (we tipped them, though) AND they provide towels and towel chair covers! So you don't have to lug towels to the pool and the beach at all and deal with drying them constantly during your vacation. The staff was very friendly. There is a very beachy restaurant attached (the Rusty Nail) that does good food and outdoor seating for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The only thing we wished was that there was room service for the one day we came in and were too tired to go out to eat.

Favorite spot on The Point. Been visiting Cape May 2x a year for the last 10 years. We come down for NJ Audubon's Autumn Festival and Spring Weekend, and Beach Shack is our favorite spot to stay. Overly dog friendly, the pet friendly rooms come with food and water bowls, dog bed, frisbee, and a homemade gourmet cookie. Also a bonus, they'll set up a pak n' play for your little one in advance. Rooms are clean and recently renovated... and the best part... The Rusty Nail is right outside with live music, great food, and a fire pit to warm up to after a long day with a glass of wine. Highly recommend. Great for families!!

I was very pleasantly surprised by the Beach Shack. I honestly cannot find one bad thing to say. The place was great…. Great location, great amenities, great staff! I had never been to this area before and was not sure what to expect. The room was more than sufficient and very clean. The housekeeping staff was always willing to give you anything that was needed. The beach access was so close and the staff very helpful. The pool was also great and very clean. I watched a gentleman literally sweep and wipe windows and surfaces non stop all day, the place was spotless. I don’t have a dog but I loved seeing all the happy families with their dogs enjoying these accommodations. The Rusty Nail restaurant/bar right nextdoor was ideal. Outside seating with large fire pit as well as a large indoor area and 2 bars. We loved the live music almost every day and night. The wait and hosting staff were very attentive and always kind and friendly. I will highly recommend this place to anyone!

Very close to beach! They have chairs on the beach for customer use! No problems getting things fixed if you need something. Amenities are great! Shampoo,soap,body wash,lotion all from beach plum farm! Was great to be able to try theese thing before visitig the farm! Definitely staying there for our next cape may trip!
