Congress Hall

Wonderful hotel that I've been wanting to stay since their renovation. Very relaxing and peaceful; beautifully kept grounds and lobby. Fun shops and lovely restaurants. Pool side bar was open to enjoy just lounging around. Employees were helpful and courteous.
The location was ideal being close to many shops and restaurants as well as to the beach.
I would highly recommend and I look forward to another stay.

There aren't many places like the Congress Hall left in the USA! Restored to it's former glory, it's a great place to stay or visit. Excellent food, music and events! They have something going on almost all year round. If you are visiting, even just for a day trip, you need to see this place!

It is a wonderful historic landmark. History is on every wall, many antique pieces of art and furniture throughout. This place has some charm to it but the staff are unable to accommodate the simplest requests. We used the valet services through out the stay, on the last day they wouldn’t let us use the valet while we went to have our last lunch as we were leaving. Another example, I booked a very expensive spa session for my wife, it slightly conflicted with regular checkout time because it was the only time the spa had. I couldn’t cancel without a charge. They could have easily accommodated a late 1pm checkout given the fact that next guests arrive at 4pm, three hours is more than enough time to clean a room for the next occupants. We kept the appointment and my wife was hurried. It is a solid 4 star hotel and the epicenter of downtown life. I would recommend it but expect what I mentioned to be the norm for accommodation.
