    I went earlier to the People's Choice Restaurant today and as usual the oxtail and rice and peas was on the money. My compliments to the chef. We have a couple of west Indian restaurants in Montclair where I live the food is always to spicy for me. I like adding a little extra hot sauce to mine. When you are cooking for the public you can't make it as spicy like you might cook for your family. If you want real authentic west Indian food make sure you check out the People's Choice Restaurant.

    Cool 'Mom & Pop' neighborhood restuarant specializing in Jamaican dishes.This spot is has lots of patrons without the long wait for your order.
    The menu offers Jamaican food and delicacies, specialty health drinks and desserts. Dine in or takeout.
    Although they're located on a main thoroughfare if you blink you may miss it. Customers service is good as is their food.

    I hardly ever write reviews of anything on any site but I just finished eating lunch from here - brown stewed chicken and damn it was delicious. I live in Flatbush most of the time and have had plenty of Jamaican food and this was about the tastiest I've had. Huge portion (the large for $12.00) , tender chicken, nice slow spice, rice with beans mixed in, cabbage and plantains. Fast, friendly service.
