We are so happy to have found Walia! Great Ethiopian food and we don't have to drive into the city. The spicy lentils are superb as is the lamb. If you get the sampler, get a double helping of each of them. The waitstaff were universally friendly and attentive. Lovely understated decor with plenty of parking in the lot behind the restaurant. We will be bringing friends there soon.

If you love Ethiopian food, or if you don't know what Ethiopian food is, you should try this place. This place is a gem in a South Orange village laden with American stile restaurants and college student hangouts. The only thing is, make a reservation! This place is packed on a Friday night, but that's because the food, staff and atmosphere are superb.

One of the only Ethiopian food places in New Jersey, and definitely one of the best ever.

We had the 4 meat and 2 vegetable combo for three people. It was a lot of food. The lamb was delicious! We had two lambs, one bees and one chicken. I don’t know the names but ask for the lambs.

This was my first time eating Ethiopian food and it was a great experience. The service was great. The portions were perfect and I really enjoy the baklava they offered for dessert. I definitely recommend this as a date spot but more importantly a break from the Italian Mexican Chinese French cycle of dining. I want to explore more Ethiopian cuisine so I plan on coming back soon!
