Had a business lunch meeting at the Highlands. 1st time actually eating there and if you can get a table in the right location, you will have a magnificent view of New York City. Weather pending of course for visibility.
The service was great and had an attentive waiter. Decor/architecture a sight to see for the age of the landmark.
Dressy so not for those that like casual dining or not dressing up. Meal prices more than most would possibly consider paying but the food was well prepared, great visual presentation and above all "Delicious" for the price.
Will visit again in the near future for dinner but also when the weather is not as cold. Would like to possibly experience outside dining and better enjoy the scenery.
Very nice meal for Christmas dinner. At our table of 6 we ordered nearly all of the choices. The room is beautiful and there is a great view of the NYC skyline. It's our 3rd year as a family.
We had a wonderful holiday dinner party for our small company last night. The ambiance was perfect even though the fog and driving rain obscured the views. The restaurant was beautifully appointed for the season. The menu was outstanding and perfectly executed. Lucas provided superb and flawless service to our group. Everyone had great interaction with him so kudos to you, Lucas!
I had a wonderful lunch at Highland Pavilion while visiting New Jersey. Service was impeccable and the food unique, fresh and quite filling. I had the open faced Salmon Salad and it was delicious. This is a fine dining establishment so you need to dress approximately. Expect the bill to be reflective of a fine dining restaurant. This is a perfect place for client lunches, special occasions or as in my case, a holiday lunch with an old friend.
Scenery was nice, food presentation was nice, the food itself was nice, not spectacular. The service left us a bit wanting. The waiter didn't offer specials, describe the dishes, offer suggestions. Flew by and checked on us once. I felt like I could just got the dishes from the window myself. I've been fine dining many times this isn't it, not for this price. They can do better. Also the skyline is awesome at night but the interior lights reflect off the inside windows and obscure it. Try to pick a table away from a ceiling fixture and you'll be fine.
