My first visit a couple of weeks ago was very good. I ordered falafel pita and was pleased. I visited again today and ordered a chicken pita. The sandwich was 80% lettuce with three small cubes of chicken. Maybe put one or two pieces of lettuce at the bottom to insulate the pita instead of a whole salad. Still above average quality of ingredients and my lettuce sandwich was fresh and crispy but work on qc.

The setting is nice. A little pricey for Journal Square. Ask about what you order first and the portion size. Portion Sizes look good in photos but are very small. I ordered Grape leaves they were $5.00 and I only got three of them. I also ordered a grilled chicken platter with Humous, coucous. It tasted fantastic, but was so small, I was left hungry. Spent over $12.00 for lunch (did not even get a soda) and was left wanting more.

Love their food. I’ve been to all of their locations and have gotten delicious food every time. Nice to have a place like this in Jersey City instead of all the fast food places here.

Solid healthy Mediterranean food. Food was super fresh and flavorful. I know they’re famous for their bread but it’s a bit doughy of a texture so it take some getting used to. Also know if you order a pita when it ask what salad you want it’s to put inside and not a side salad I would recommend skipping it if you’re getting the gyro it took away from the great gyro flavor. The melts are super good and filled with flavor. Fries are the least fresh thing on the menu I assume frozen would skip in the future.

I have to say the restaurant is really good. I got the some sort of chicken platter, it came with rice, hummus, chopped salad, and I also got the pita. You should skip the pita it has a very plain taste. But the chicken was amazing, so good that I went out of my way to add a review with pictures. This place would’ve gotten 5 stars as it’s great for a quick service eating place. HOWEVER, how the owner talks to reviewers in the comments is extremely unprofessional, petty, and really makes them unlikeable. Like your gonna call your disappointed customers names? Not cool. That’s how you talk to disappointed customers? NOT COOL. If you want good food great, but just know the owner is a major JERK. I’m not sure if I’ll be coming back because I just don’t like to do business with jerks.
