Kobeyaki

This a decent option when I don't have time to take a walk to another lunch spot any further from my office. I work upstairs in 525.

I've had the braised pork bun which was fair - i wouldn't get it again. Most recently I got the beef teriyaki bowl over brown rice with a side of seaweed salad. I'll upload the pictures I took. The price for the amount of food is not worth it. I'm not saying I wasn't full by the end...thanks in part to the teriyaki ketchup and wasabi mayo I helped myself to @ the utensils/napkin bar before leaving. But it was $16 for these two items, and the portions didn't warrant that price tag in my opinion. The beef was a little bit tough but wasn't garbage fatty pieces that are hard to chew.

I'd go back and probably try something new if I'm short for time.

Great Japanese fusion food. Ordered sushi, bowl and burger. All tastes good, would highly recommend.

Kobeyaki is a modern Japanese quick service food chain with a focus on providing healthy lunch. They have variety of sushi rolls, rice and noodle bowls, salads and burgers on menu. The taste is good and service is quick. This restaurant is conveniently located across the Newport Path station and next to the Newport Mall. That makes it a great option for people working and living in Newport area of Jersey City.

Food truly tastes good. I usually get the rice bowl with chicken and shrimp, then I add the spicy mayo, which gives it a great kick.
