Choc•O•Pain French Bakery and Cafe

How far or long are you willing to travel for French baked goods? 30mins? An hour?
Well on a cold dreaery winter day, sometimes an hours travel might be worth it to discover a new place. The place had decent reviews, and I am still in search of baguettes, croissants, and macaroons.
So of course I tried all three and a flourless chocolate cake slice.
First impressions, the place is nice and cozy with limited seating. Presentation is nice and in regards to taste, croissant was ok though seemed on thick side, macaroon was tasty flavor wise and baguette was good. DISCLAIMER: I have not been to Paris and my review is simply based on the places I have tried.
I would go again to try other treats though some of their products can be on pricey side hopefully they can maintain the quality products and maybe only get better.

Good pastries. However you want your coffee, it will taste good. Small but nice, quiet place to eat and even have a chat with someone.

I was so happy when this Hoboken staple opened up a Jersey City branch. Their pastries are exquisite, and their coffee excellent. Their tea is locally blended--a bit pricey, but good. Great place to get breads and desserts for company, or sit and meet a friend for coffee.
